So what about the ooze? If it stays there in its little corner, I'd prefer to leave it alone. Or at least explore the boat first and maybe come back to the ooze later.

Woo-boy! That was cool! Wraiths don't seem so scary now, do they?

Well Rolf (and me) figures we can try emptying the hold, and if the ooze leaves us alone, we'd leave it alone, yanno.. But if it comes out, well, we can finish it off.

All right. I'll post the summary and drop us out of combat then.

All right. I'll let David post the last summary and then post IC.
And just a little update on my two kids in the military. My oldest son is home from Kuwait! He's home home (here in the Houston area) on leave for two weeks, but then he has to go to Virginia for a month or so. Of course I am so relieved and happy! And my daughter (who is stationed in Minot, ND) is also home for a visit with her husband. Yesterday, I had all five of my kids (and my son and daugher-in-law) in one house together for the first time in a very long time. We're all going out to eat tonight with my mom and dad, and I think that will be the most perfect evening I can imagine. |

Sounds great Lisa!
Pen will keep an eye on the ooze if Rolf and Nadia want to start searching and bringing stuff up the ladder. She still has the lit torch so if it comes out she can deal it a point of damage. |

That's excellent Lisa! Of course, my wife and I are still at the point that we're happy when we manage to be in the house by ourselves for an evening..

How many cases of wine is there, total?
And we can just bring the lockbox with us and have Alex look at it when we find him again. They really should make beer-scented candles. -Barak, while attending a candle-selling party. |

Re: Whopee! | ||

I think maybe we should have Alex come down and take a look around too. He's better at spotting things than the rest of us. We should probably search around the captain's bunk, as best as we are able. It's partially under water, right?
Um, isn't anybody else dying to see the experience totalled up? |

Re: Whopee! | ||

Let's carry the strongbox up the stairs anyway. Is it small enough for that? Then Alex can pick the lock in good lighting.

There was only one case of wine. The strongbox is small enough to be carried upstairs.

I hadn't thought about XP until you mentioned it, Lisa. I was just glad no one got a constitution drain! Whew! But, now that it is mentioned, yes, I am very interested. In fact, XP and treasure are in a tie for which thing I think we are here in Nulb to gather up.

Re: Whopee! | ||

It sure is! Of course, IC it's only treasure.. But to tell the truth, OOC I'm more interested in XP then treasure...

I vote that we do an exhastive search of the hold for anything worth while. If the ooze doesn't like it, well, that's what the torch is for.
While we're at it some one should probably go check out the barrels we say in the forward hold. Black holes are where God divided by zero. |

Re: Nulb - OOC 2 | ||

Ok. Time for me to head home. In case anyone wants to post up some IC stuff about searching the boat. The barrels in the forward hold contain nothing of interest - scummy water, old ship repair supplies, etc. You might disturb some (ordinary) rats.

Re: Nulb - OOC 2 | ||

You know, Rolf and Nadia ought to go look for something else to kill while our weapons are all magick-y!
Which reminds me that Nadia used one of Penelope's scrolls - don't forget to take it off the item tracker. |

Re: Nulb - OOC 2 | ||

OK, and the 3 zaps from the wand, and the torch. That wasn't too expensive of a combat. I'll go update that now. Ooooh. So close to level 6!?! I sure am glad there are more undead in this town!!! Or else, we'd have to pick a fight with that hermit.

Re: Nulb - OOC 2 | ||

Well let's not forget there is still the hobgob's fortress.. Those idiots did help in the theft or our things, after all..
And do we really want to give him that wine? How much is it worth? If it's worth a lot, I'm not sure we should give him the whole case.. It's not like his info is that good anyway. They really should make beer-scented candles. -Barak, while attending a candle-selling party. |

Re: Nulb - OOC 2 | ||

Right. We can offer him a couple of bottles to start with. And we don't necessarily need to tell him that we killed the wraiths either. All he needs to know is that we managed to snag a couple bottles of wine. Let's let Alex do the deal with him.
BP mentioned the forward hold. Did you include that part of the boat in our explorations so far, David, or do we need to specify that IC? |
