Combat rounds really aren't appropriate at this point, unless you're going to initiate it. However, I'd still prefer to get each person's reaction to what's happening before posting the next NPC reactions. If your character is not going to do anything but stand and wait, you can just post in OOC that you're ready to move on.

I like to think that there is a chance that it's a friendly person. (Remember that we ran into Spugnoir in the moathouse.) But more likely of course it's not someone nice... a cultist, maybe, here doing research or looking for something useful. Or maybe it's some kind of wacky vampire hunter. I feel better being protected from evil, but unless it's a monster or a cleric of an evil deity, it may not help even if the mystery person is hostile.

I have to apologize for my sporadicity (is that a word?) lately. I'm halfway through my last semester of grad school, and it's a doozy. I'm still trying to get on here and post at least once a day, but it's not always at the same time as everyone else. The good news is that I graduate on April 30 and, assuming someone will hire me, I should become much more regular at that point. At this point, I think Alex will mostly be waiting to see how the guy with the strange choice of neighborhood responds to Eber's greeting.
