Argh... I am afraid you can pick any language on your list but goblin and orcish, because Narthos tried to communicate with both before and none of you know these languages... we'll have to keep the story as it is to avoid complications.

Yeah...I kinda figured those were out. I never pick them anyway, so it's kind of a moot point anyway.
Heh...well...I can't seem to get a hold of the PHB at work, but from what I'm finding on the web, that just narrowed my options way down: Gnoll, Gnome, Goblin, Orc, and Sylvan are the only ones I haven't chosen!  Not complaining...just think it's funny... |

For your question in IC thread (I would prefer if you put them in OOC thread unless it's like your first OOC comment in there. Your first comment is directly related to the present interaction as oppose to background information, so it's ok, but for the asking of additional information or the like it should be in the OOC thread): The secret doors are all over the place. You can imagine a circular room, along its walls, it has a secret door every 5-ft, and each door are 5-ft wide, your normal size for medium-sized doors.

Sylvan is a logical choice for most Elves. You might also inquires at to whether GH has regional languages and dialects, or if perhaps you can get a different language option you normally wouldn't have to replace the one you've been (story mistake) cut off from...something planar perhaps? Have you a particular elemental affinity?
And could we perhaps get a revised map to reflect the new discovery? "Whadda ya mean, Orcs get levels too?!?"

I'd been trying to find that out, but I was guessing that at this point there were no other options. Sylvan and Gnome don't seem so bad...it's just Gnoll is right up there with Orc and Goblin, IMHO.

Andorax, perhaps you missed my explaination from my previous OOC post? If by new discovery you mean the secret doors, then to see where they would be, all you need to do is imagine all the walls in the circular room has been replaced by secret doors one by another.

Argh, I kept on thinking that you were using your original character design of sorcerer/elemental servant. Nevermind that then, you are gonna to to just pick from the normal languages.

Bahamut,
From the look outside you are not sure, since most of the tower, other than the dome, is buried in the sand. However if the doors lead nowhere, then this tower is awfully small to be protected by all those ancient defensive structures outside. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Bahamut: If it helps, my rule of thumb is to only put OOC comments in the IC thread if they pertain to game mechanics. For instance a breakdown of your search skill or translating your IC post into combat actions.
Example IC: Taes rushes towards the dragon, throwing caution to the wind he leaps into the air and delivers a devastating kick to the dragon. [OOC: Charge the dragon and attack Total to hit:+200 (+3BAB, +2 Charge, +195 antidragon ring)] Anything else I usually put in the OOC thread. Hope this helps. Egad...that's one for the recordbooks. Just one note regarding everyone's whereabouts and the current webbing process:
Corian and Era'when is currently on the top most floor, just below the dome; others, who did not accompany them, are on the fifth floor, ie the floor with the 20-ft corridor. THe web has regrown from the top, currently covering the staircase of the top two floors, and proceeding down as everything is happening. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Okay, so exactly where does the cloud end? I'm picturing right up to the doorway, which is why I positioned Ythan where I did. If it ends down the hallway a ways, like more than 10', he woul position himself down the hallway, just out of the cloud.
Also, does this cloud obscure line of sight? |

As in the description, the cloud does obscure sight, and you can't see anything after 5-ft. It does start almost right at the edge of the hallway.

Okay, quick questions: Does the cloud also come up to the edge of the hallway on this end too? If so, that would mean that we are already in the room, right? Has any of us stepped off of the purple? Also, is there enough dust/dirt/sand on the floor to find tracks in?

It's right to the edge. Basically, the whole passage is covered with stinking cloud, edge to edge. Everyone other than Corian, from the fog, sort of stumbled randomly, so you have certainly stepped out of the purple path. But nothing hazardous has happened, nor any alarming situation.
