Oh, I was operating on the assumption that those were pillars, since that's what they looked like. I guess I was thinking that the tablets were on the walls or something.
Now I got it. |

Argh. That's what I get for taking 10 minutes to post.
That IC post about Ythan looking for color changes was supposed to go before darken had posted, so I edited it out. |

Color Question | ||

Darken, is the wall receding steadily, or in notches as the tiles finalize their color changes?
And how far did the wall appear (sorry for the pun) to be from the curtain when we started out? |

Welp...being that I think that fear has something like a five or six round minimum, looks like a few of us will be back in a week or so!
Just for fun, does Era'when know anything about blue dragons? |
|||
darken |
Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||
|
I never did make that check, the request was conviently forgotten because I was working on the map.
Era'when knows that Blue Dragons are Chaotic Evil in nature, has [Earth] subtype, has the ability to create and destroy water. Its breath weapon is a line of lightning. Like all dragons, older ones possess spell resistence and arcane spellcasting abilities. For blue dragons, they mostly have illusionary spells. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

A few questions:
1) Did Corian climb back up to the top of the tower to get inside? So That means we didn't get the rope down yet before the encounter started, right? 2) When the dragon breathed his fire, did his form change to more solid looking? |
|||
darken |
Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||
|
1, Yes, it happened as Corian is cliimbing down, so since he is affected by the fear effect, naturally he'll try to climb back in to escape.
2, its form did not change at all during this time. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

This is going out to all of my games:
Next Friday, my girlfriend is coming to visit me in Japan for a week. Being that I will not see her in person again for five more months after that, I intend to devote 100% of my time to seeing her. 100% leaves no time for my online commitments and for that I appologize (but this is more important). So, next Friday (February 27) until the following Thursday (March 4) I will be gone from pretty much everything online. I might peek in if I have spare time, but don't expect me. If you need any information about my character for appropriately NPC'ing him/her, please contact me ASAP. I hope that general stuff about my character's actions will be clear, but if not, I don't mind explaining. Thank you for your understanding! -Zach |

Seems like Andorax is busy too, with the new baby and all. :) We'll give them a little time, and by Tuesday, if Andorax stll has not respond yet, I'll NPC his character to use his greater turning ability, and resolve the round (and potentially, the whole combat).

I'm here...sorry for the prolonged absence, but kiddos do have that effect. I haven't read up on the regular thread yet...on my way now.

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

Err...I hate to point this out...cos it's probably none of my business...but I tend to rules lawyer completely impartially, so here goes...
Exalted Turning only deals damage to undead creatures...at least, that's what my copy says... |

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||
|
I believe this was a Greater Turning, as per the Sun Domain's domain power, not an Exalted Turning.
|
|||
Andorax |
Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||
|
Actually, it's both. ALL of my turnings are Exalted Turnings, though when I do a Greater Turning, that fact is irrelevant.
Turn: chance to drive away, or destroy if HD 1/2 my cleric level. Exalted Turn: Turned creatures suffer 3d6 damage. Greater Turn: If I succeed in turning it, I destroy it (effectively, it doubles my cleric level for the purpose of determining if I get a 'destroy' effect). So in purely technical terms, it took 3d6 damage and was destroyed, both at once. "Whadda ya mean, Orcs get levels too?!?"

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

Where is the Exalted Turning feat from anyway? I looked in the SRD and DotF, but it's not there....

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

It's from (gasp) Book of Exhalted Deeds.
Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

Yea...but was the dragon undead? Cos only undead take the damage...the feat specifically says so...

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

Why do you think I keep on saying "ghostly dragon"? Perhaps because it is a ghost dragon? Oh unthinkable univ
Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Re: Chapter Two OOC | ||

Oops...my bad. I kept figuring that was some sort of mirage effect or something...maybe he looked ghostly due to the heat radiation or something.
Ahh well...not anything I could do. |

Experience time.
Please refer to the first post of character sheet thread to obtain your experience and update your character sheet. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Olivar: As per Narthos race I do not think we were ever actually officially told. I think he is a kobald, but I could be incorrect. Hopefully once we can talk to each other it will become apparent.
