Well.. the Devils can impregnate, but cannot carry young. So, no Devilsh mommies out there.

As for the Yugoloths.. well, they're basically all hermaphrodites, but even then that's not right. They're not half male-half female. They're not even full male or full female. They're pretty much male, female, and neuter all at the same time and without changing. They're all genders, but none. If that makes any sense. If the Yugoloths were windows, they would be open and shut at the exact same time.

Yugoloth gender pretty much isn't set until one of them gets pregnant. The one carrying is the mother, the other one is the father. But even then, it just depends on your point of view.

So, while I would assume that it would be conceivably possible that a Yugoloth could father/mother a Half-Fiend, and later down the line result in a Tiefling, I find that not very likely.

It's not a spell. They're just that good.

I mean, if the Epic Level Handbook will let mere mortals talk the feathers of a Solar (An example they gave in the book, if I'm not mistaken) how hard would it be for a physical manifestation of True Evil to just trick a Devil or Demon into thinking it was something lesser. Devils and Demons already believe they are the superior species in the Universe. The Yugoloths just play on that.

And as near as I know, the Yugoloths and Asmodeus are the only ones with a real plan, and a possible chance. There's probably billions of doomsday cults, there's a faction in Sigil (Doomguard, I believe) that wants the universe destroyed.. many many people want to see it all go.

Do you Yugoloths have their own secret language?

Define Secret. If you mean they have a language separate from Abyssal or Infernal, then yes. If secret in that they can communicate in some tounge known only to them.. well, sorta. If you mean that one arcanaloth can speak to another in common, both discuss the weather, the menu at a local pub, etc etc.. while at the same time also discuss some unknown plan in front of whoever can hear them without the listeners being aware of what's happening... Then yes. A thousand times yes.

It pretty much sounds as if Yugo's are a DM's excuse to metagame like there's no tomorrow. They just figure that the Yugo's figured every plottwist the PC's make and put that in their plan. How much can the PC's do against that? And if not, where's the fun for the PC's?

Well, yeah, a DM can metagame like crazy with Yugoloths. The real "fun" for the PCs is pretty much the same in a Cthulhu game... You know that no matter what, you're screwed, so you might as well have fun while you're at it. Typical scenario would be.. PCs stumble on some Yugoloth plot, foil it, Yugoloths gnash their teeth in anger and swear eternal hatred... a few years later, they meet some random Yugoloth who says "By the way, thanks for your help in that matter. We couldn't have done it without you." Wink, then vanish.

So.. did the PCs actually help the Yugoloths? Or, did they hinder the Yugoloths, but opened a new avenue to them? Do the Yugoloths have a wacky sense of humor?

How can you ever roleplay a Yugo? A player will have trouble with an Int 22 wizard, so how could a DM dso this? Or would you advise that they never deal with a PC-group direcly?

A direct confrontation with a Yugoloth, when the Yugo doesn't expect immediate violence (And while Demons and Devils can be used just fine in Dungeon crawls with little or no plot, Yugo's can't. You can pretty much only use them when the PCs have learned that just because something's evil, it doesn't deserve immediate erasure from existance), will almost always result with the Yugoloth playing down his powers, abilities, and place in society. Violence, of course, provokes more violence.. but not then. Yugo's tend to run away, study their opponents for a bit, then strike back when the enemy least suspects it. Much like Devils.

I forgot, but were they immortal? So, not Yugo-vampires? Or Yugo-liches?

They're Planar, and as such fall under all Planar norms. Immortal barring violent death, disease usually doesn't touch them.. etc etc. So, if you allow Balor Liches and Solar Vampires, then sure. If you don't.. then no.

How far do you have to go to get a Yugo to change certain plans, because he's just too annoyed/angry with you?

The "best" way to do it, the way with the highest probability of actually disrupting the plans.. would be to act against them about five minutes before they are complete.. barring that the plans end with a magical device cooling from the forges for a bit before use. Best time would be.. Stop the Yugoloth carrying the vial of Phoenix Blood right before he can deliver it, disrupt the mage's concentration moments before he completes the spell.. etc etc.

If you act too early, often times the Yugoloth has contingency plans that take your actions into consideration. Well, at least they plan that SOMEONE might do X, and it just so happens your PC is the Someone. No big deal to the Yugo if it's done too early.

If they would take cleric levels, what god would they choose?

What makes you think a god would have them?

Seriously, on the outside chance that a Yugoloth would find it in his heart to follow something other than the creed of his race, and on the incredibly rare chance that the God the Yugoloth chose would actually accept such an untrustworthy follower... it'd be a God of Trickery, Deciet, and Lies. Anything that involves masking truth with truth, which is the greatest trick of the Yugoloth. Only politicians are able to surpass their skill in this. And that was *sorta* a joke.
