What does everyone think are the 10 top (most used/most liked) DM sayings? Here're mine... 10. Spot check DC 43 to see where he hid his dagger after the Spot Check DC 5 to see which side he stabbed you in. 9. Will Save DC... 8. Reflex Save DC... 7. Fortitude save DC... 6. So this is how your Wish spell really turns out... 5. So the portal opens and you see Myth Drannor on the other side... 4. Your god doesn't love you anymore... 3. No. 2. Because I'm the DM. Sorry. They do that sometimes you know. 2. OK. So, if calculate the inside angle's cosine, multiply it by the square of the distance of the opposite side, find the bisect and... Yes. There it is. The fireball falls at that spot right there. Everyone save vs. reflex - DC 25 1. You can wish for more wishes, but that just means I have more chances to kill you with them...

"You didn't find any traps," then evil grin. "You failed your concentration check, so roll for your wild surge." (Whenever PC spellcasters fail concentration checks they roll for a wild surge. My wild surge table is 10k items long.) PC: Can I jump across the pit? Me: I don't know, can you?

Anyway this happened last thursday when i put the party up against a couple of mintaurs in a gladitoral arena, the ranger 2/fighter 1 rolled a nat 20 to hit, i told him to roll to see if its a crit, so he rolled again and this time he rolled a nat 1. So i told him to roll normal damage and that the mintaur caught his sword in his hand and the blade cut into his hand, but he stil grabbed it from you. i thought it had some entertainment value and by the way what are the chances of that happening.

But one of my favorite sayings is DM-" the door doesn't appear to be trapped, what do you do" PC1-" i go ahead and walk through the door" DM-"make a fortitude save for me, ok what i everyone else going to do?" PC2-"i go ahead and go through the door" DM-"ok now i need you to make a fortitude save for me". I just love the automatic reseting traps don't you

You made your Will save...you are not effected by the Great Wyrm Red Dragon's fear radius so your 1st level fighter doesn't have to run away if you don't want to. 1. Ok...I've made a new house rule...hands out blank character sheets, and 4d6 Why procrastinate today what you can put off until tomorrow?
