I like the idea of a Shuriken-wielding ninja-type character, but perhaps one might prefer the 10th level Rogue ability Crippling Strike for a few reasons:
1) It doesn't allow a saving throw.
2) Unlike death attack, it can be used with ranged attacks (i.e., shurikens), and doesn't require 3 rounds of study per death attack.
3) It doesn't require a Prestige Class, so one's level advancement is perhaps a bit more flexible.
For instance, if one chooses to take Rogue 10 first, he can pick up Crippling Strike to power up his Sneak Attacks.
Then he takes 8 levels of Monk to gain various combat abilities, then 2 more levels of Rogue. This would result in a 6d6 + 2str Sneak Attack damage, but with the option of Flurry of Blows at a -1 penalty, and no BAB loss from multiclassing. The advantage of taking so many Rogue levels at the beginning is that at these lower levels, Monks tend to be weaker than Rogues, so in doing so one can bypass those weaknesses.
One point which is unclear--if a Monk character with Rapid Shot throws Shurikens, can he use Flurry of Blows AND Rapid Shot in the same action? If so, that would be a lot of attacks.

He did not care anymore: Life and Death, the same.
