I am a sorceress 7/rogue 1 and the NPC was Rogue 4, so it was an opportunity for me to learn some rogue skills. After the session were the NPC was introduced we left on the note that our characters were helping rebuid a town and we would spend about 2-3 months in town (our monk was leveling from 12 to 13 so we would have to stay in town at least 13 weeks for him to level). In that time my sor and the rog bonded.
our most recent game session started with our druid finding a giant snake for an animal companion. And during our first combat encounter of the session where gnolls were attacking the town we were helping rebuild, the druid's player decided that since her snake can't eat the gnolls (the DM ruled the gnolls too big for the snake to swallow) the snake would eat my NPC rogue! The rogue had done some damage and gotten hurt in the fight. And all I could do what sit back and watch my friend be eaten by a snake.
So now I need help to kill the snake. I don't think the other party members will care since my character was the closest to the rogue, so I don't expect help from the party. so any ideas on how to kill this snake which has as many hitpoints as I do would be appreciated
