I don't think anyone short of some uber-epic PC can STEAL anything from a GOD.
Godless clerics are granted spells by PHILOSOPHICALLY ALIGNED DIETY. So there is a god involved somewhere afterall.
Actually, Gnolls are technically "godless." They follow a demon lord who is not a god, and can not grant spells. It's Eurymul who actually grants gnoll clerics their spells.
