a good trick if you want to steal ideas; steal from as many and diffrent sources as possibel, that way there is a smaler chance that anyone discover what you are doing

Actually, I was thinking of stealing from a whole bunch of sources and making a real bad as party for rivals to the PCs. Wolverine(yeah I know), Snake-Eyes, StormShadow, Batman, Captain America, Spiderman, Iceman, Willie Nelson and a few others. Actually it'll be a couple groups but you get the idea. I'm actually curious if the players will know what I based them on. Snake-Eyes and StormShadow probably won't be in the group but used else where. I've been spent the last day or so figuring out the multiclass combos I'd need to make them. StormShadow I think I have figured out, monk/ninja of the crescent moon, but Snake-Eyes is giving me trouble, as I want them to be different, but nigh equal powers wise.

As for Snake-Eyes, give him a couple levels of ranger. Or you could make him fulfill the requirements for ninja by using Fighter/Rogue instead of strictly monk. I'd say that this is probably more consistent with his origins anyway.
Before Snake-Eyes recieved his ninja training he was a member of the special forces (can't remember which one) so I'd make him Fighter/Rogue so that he can get the skill point requirements and the feat requirements for a ninja as soon as possible. Also, with the Rogue, he will already have sneak attack and be able to go pretty high on the skills that a ninja needs. |

LMAO!!!! When I was reading that list of NPC's I was just like.. 'umm, yep, that'd be cool...' Then I saw Willie Nelson and damn near soiled my armor I was laughing so hard.
If they take away our guns, can we go back to using swords?

I've heard of a few people who've had a group of Bards who go by the name Metallica. I even found a netbook based on this concept.
However, I think Metallica is a poor choice for this. Don't get me wrong, Metallica is one of my top 3 bands. Instead, I think KISS would be better. Hell, KISS once made a (totally sh*tty) movie based on the premise that they were a bunch of heroes. Hehe, in the same vein, Michael Jackson made a movie as well where he was a hero saving a bunch of kids. But now I'm way off topic and this post has become nothing but fluff. Pity me, everyone. I am addicted to Behind the Music and Pop-Up Video. |

I played in an FR setting once where there was a powerful wizard named 'Whitesnake.' For some reason he looked like he came from a hair band...guess that's what you get from a DM who liked the 80's a little too much.

William Nell's Son: 8th level Bard/7th level rogue. Organizes relief effort for kingdom farmers known as Peasant Aid. Known to enjoy that Halfling pipe-weed more than is healthy. Also seems to have troubles paying proper taxes to the king...

Yep, that's pretty much the conclusion I came to on Snake-Eyes, rogue, ranger and fighter taking up 10 levels then the rest is monk.
I'm thinking Willie will be a gnome bard, with a penchant for helping the poor and smoking stuff. I don't know why, just one day I was watching CMT's version of behind the music and saw the one on Willie and thought it was a good idea. He looks like a gnome to me. If i were DM, i think that given the opportunity, I'd have the group run into my Baldur's Gate group (with Minsc, of course), and I'd probably have them run into a few characters from a past campaign.
Seriously, I'd love to see some of their reactions if i said, "you see a really big guy standing near a shop, he appears to be holding some sort of rodent." "I walk up to talk to him, what does he say?" "Stand and deliver, that my hamster might have a better look at you!" ***Recent evidence suggests that a barrel full of monkeys is not half as much fun as previously claimed, and is, in fact, rather horrifying!

In my last campaign, the main lawful good god, named Hulligan, was patterned directly after Hulk Hogan. He turned out to be a really good role model for the two brother paladin PCs I had in my group. It's a shame what happened to them though, when they met there long lost evil sorcerer father and fell from grace so they could join him in a little group they called . . . the NWO.
