and yes he is powergamed, as i seriously doubt you could make a normal lv 35 wizard who had a chance against him, with all those special powers and spells etc he has.
Human Lich Diviner 6/ Red Wizard 10/ Archmage 5/ Incantrix 10/ LA +4, with Epic Leadership, his cohort has Epic Leadership, his cohort has Leadership, etc. and they're all Red Wizards. Every day they perform the Circle Magic and Heighten all of their spells to 20th level, then pump all of those spells into the Lich when he does the Circle Magic. Hence, the Lich has a caster level of 42 with an Orange Prism Ioun Stone and the ring from the CA, and every one of his spells is Heightened to 20th level, Maximized, and Empowered in addition to what it was prepared as. He casts Sequester on himself which doesn't make him comatose because he's undead, and nobody short of a deity is even aware of his presence even when he's blowing them up. If they try to use a Gem of Seeing he throws a DC 50+ Shatter on it, if they use a Robe of Eyes a contingent Daylight blinds it.
I've decided that its probably impossible to actually kill a spellcaster whose level is that high. It would certainly be an ordeal to accomplish, and definitely involve a successful Mordenkainen's Disjunction. Chances are, Simulacrums and Projected Images would battle it out until one mage got bored and teleported to his pocket plane, which no other creature short of a deity can reach. Thats why Elminster always sends adventurers on quests to fix FR's problems instead of taking direct action himself, because not even the Manshoons or Szass Tam poses a significant threat to him.
