Perhaps the best high-level adventure I've read is Bastion of Broken Souls. I won't give you spoilers, but I could readily see how I could use that adventure for a high level campaign. The enemies are not only powerful, but interesting and with their own agendas. PCs do not know who send them on the mission, but if they did they might react differently. I highly recommend it.

Another useful adventure is Razing of Redshore, in one of the Dungeon magazines. Unfortunatly I don't have the number handy. Many of the magazines do have high level adventures published, however.

A good way to adapt a module to higher level is not just to increase the power of the opponents, but also to add more obstacles between the PCs and the goals. For example, instead of the gate to the lower planes taking the PCs to within striking distance of the evil one's tower, the gate takes the PCs to within thousands of miles of the evil one. Now the PCs have to find the evil one's tower (and hope they find the right tower; don't want to be attacking the wrong tower), while being harassed by fiends of every description.

Piers Anthony has a couple of novels in which his characters go to Hell. In _With A Tangled Skein_, a woman has to traverse a maze in Hell (and survive the attempt) in order to reach her damned son so she can ask him a question that she needs the answer for to save the world. If she fails in this attempt, then she herself will be damned. (Did you think the Big S set this up just for his own amusement?)

In _Wielding A Red Sword_, Mars ends up trapped in Hell and organizes a revolt against Satan. Satan finally sets Mars free, because that had been his plan all along.
