I'm wondering how much a weapon made of Ironwood would cost more than a normal weapon.
For example, how much will a +1 Ironwood Longsword cost me more than a +1 Longsword?

Hello guys,
I'm wondering how much a weapon made of Ironwood would cost more than a normal weapon. For example, how much will a +1 Ironwood Longsword cost me more than a +1 Longsword? ...Accept the fact... ...Druids are the Masters of the Wild... |

I'll settle with the brasswood then | ||

Yeah,
I thought this would be either difficult or expensive. However, in Arms & Equipment guide there is brasswood. It costs 500 gp per pound to make a weapon of brasswood. Hey presto: a +1 brasswood falchion would then cost... eh... 6350 gp (a +1 2350 gp)? But then again an +4 brasswood falchion would cost 36350 gp (a +4 32350 gp). This is the stuff that you want a lower to midlevel druid want to have, since they can't cast ironwood yet themselves. |

Druids can use non-druid weapons in 3.5, and metal weapons were never restricted. It's just the armor that cannot be metal.

Failing that, see Darkwood from the materials section of the DMG (not checking DMG before posting I must point out, hence lack of helpful page reference.)

The reason why I want druids with wooden weapons (and okay, I'll admit, I posted this in the wrong question, since I was looking for a wooden weapon for my own druid... but 'tis interesting for DM's as well)... Is spikes.
The druid who can wield a two-handed martial weapon is wood is really blessed with spikes. Image a Spiked Greatsword... It gains +2 enhancement bonus on attack and a +x where x is caster level on damage and threat range 17-20. Consider Spikes a druid's magic weapon and therefore I want druids with wooden weapons. Albeit, I'd like them to be as hard as metal. But, while we were discussing that, someone made a good notion: 'So, wouldn't a longbow be burned in a fireball then?'. I guess not - D&D isn't a game of realism after all. So, what is wrong with a wooden weapon? |
