Pay NO attention to the clues the DM gives and then whine when you are in too deep...Oh there is a lake over there...Didn't we hear something about a about a monster or something? No? Huh, I could have sworn that the DM told us there was a beast so evil that the dragon wouldn't even go near it. Are you sure? Well then lets cross the darn thing.
What? We are being attacked by a aquatic tarrasque!!! That's crap no one warned us about that! You should have said something first! The GM is always right...cruel, sadistic, vicious, but always right!

This has kind of been touched on but combines a few rules specifically..
Don't have ANY idea what your character does or is capable of doing. I'm going to play a fighter, yeah I know I know, I've never played one before but most of you all have so you can help me out. Okay now I'm going to cast magic missle, what I can't cast magic missle but I took it as a bonus feat. What do you mean I can't cast arcane spells AND I have to choose my bonus feats from a certain list? Where is that written? Fine fine I'm going to cleave him then. What does it do? Hell I don't know your the DM don't you know??? Does anyone have a PHB I can borrow??? Gosh you all make EVERYTHING so darn difficult!!! The GM is always right...cruel, sadistic, vicious, but always right!
