Naturally, falling is going to be a major concern in the setting. So I've revised the falling damage rule to what you see here. Let me know if you see any room for revision.

The Plunge
"The Plunge" is common slang for falling from great heights (such as from a skyship, from one of the disks, or from the canopy home of the elves). Few people can survive a fall from these heights, though some people have indeed tumbled off a skyship and lived despite an unpleasant meeting with the ground. If a character falls more than 200 feet, the character is dealt 20d6 damage as normal. However, the sheer shock of falling such a tremendous distance requires that the character make a fortitude save. The DC for this save is equal to 15 plus 1 for every 50 feet greater than 200 feet. If a character fails this save, he is instantly killed. Spells that protect against death effects do not protect against failing this fortitude save. Characters killed in this way may be resurrected or raised as normal.
