Would you allow it? Certainly nothing in the rules about it. I would as i cant hold it to EVERY ithorian to be a peaceful tree-hugger. What do you others who play starwars DnD say?

Why not? | ||

For my own science fiction projects, I had invented a race of pacifistic, forest-dwelling aliens. And then had the idea, what if one of them did become a crime lord? What would he be like?
Is this a PC or an NPC? (Silly question: if it's an NPC then of course it's allowed. NPCs can do anything...) As a PC I would certainly allow it if there was a good enough back story. Keep in mind that an Ithorian crime lord would probably do things differently than a Hutt crime lord. Note: I do not know anything about Ithorians. I have the Star Wars Alien Anthology, but haven't had a chance to read it yet. |

Absolutely, I'd allow it. Sure, *most* Ithorians are peaceful, but not all. There are no absolutes in the universe. Not every Rodian is a petty bounty hunter, not every wookie is a noble warrior. If there was a good enough background to support it, then no problem.

whoa...for a second(by a second i mean 13 days...[not movie]) i forgot about this thread. thanks for the fill in, im glad to see that others agree. My other question is how would you justify a nobleman/crimelord? Especially in coruscant? I was pondering this and my friend was like "ez...c'mon, so many politions are like this...corruption of course." I was leik "oh, du'h" and smacked myself in the head. Any suggestions on what i should do tho', other than just passing $$ under the table? I thought of passing $$ to some easy to convince police as well as some press do not hurt. I was thinking of using disguise as one of my main skills as well.
Is it possible to have infamy and fame at different times? what i mean is can i have fame as the nobleman, and then when i work behind shadows as a crimelord, can i have infamy? or would just one of those feats cover both occations? thanks for the reply, and i hope you could help me out again. It is greatly appreciated. |

Why be a crimelord? | ||
|
I find that kind of question helps resolve a lot of difficulties. Figure out why your character wants to be a crimelord, and you have a clue as to what your character should do as a crimelord.
I don't know much about Ithorians, but it should be easy to think of motivations for going into crime. The easiest one is "I want the money." So as a crimelord, whatever will help you get money, is probably a good idea. As a noble, you also want to do whatever will keep people from knowing that you are a crimelord. This could be an interesting character. |

thats a good idea. As simple as it seems its something i passed over. Being a crimelord is gonna b a very secretive thing. While jabba is known throughout the universe, I will never even be heard. Just an unknown blackhole of money...
Seriously, thats why i want to be this character. Uber access funds. |
