Okay, Fu has had someone help him read Jewbag's Roster Card, and has had someone explain to him how the spells work, and knows that he most certainly does not want to lose his soul to the almighty Jewbag.
Fu figures he'll make sure that Jewbag isn't faking casting Magic Jar, and then later take out the dog and then the zombie. Using Rapid Fire, Fu fires his first two shots at Jewbag's prone body, and if both hit, he fires his third shot at the yappy dog. If one or more of those first shots miss the non-moving and assumedly dex-bonusless Jewbag, Fu also uses his last shot on Jewbag, and will wait until later to take out the dog and the zombie. Fu tells Shaq to stay down and not move. Shaq is more of a liability in this combat than anything. Fu does not move from his position. |

Jewbag does not lose his dex bonus when prone (unless someone can show me a rule that says otherwise) Fu attacks with -8 to hit (-2 for rapid shot, -4 for prone target, -2 for range). Shot #1: 3 +14 -8 = 11. Miss Shot #2 18 + 14 -8 = 24. Miss Shot #3 18 + 9 - 8 = 19. Miss That is the end of round 1. It is now Round 2 and it is Jewbag's action. |

Fu delays his action until Jewbag is approximately 219 feet away. Once the little belly-crawler is within 220 feet, (but long before Jewbag gets within 205 feet) Fu cuts loose with another rapid fire burst of arrows on Jewbag. |

My mistake: Jewbag was at 65/65 last round - not 60/60. He can crawl 5 feet as a move action, so he can move 10 feet in a round. Moving diagonally, he must be able to move 15 feet to go 2 spaces diagonally, so he moves to 70/70. The 5 foot remainder will be applied to any diagonal movement next round.
Pythagoras is not a D&D character. I am using the PHB rule that each even-numbered diagonal space costs 10 feet of movement. Thus the 195 feet between the combatants is actually 290 feet. The range for Fu's shot was 210 feet, now it is 205. I think. Maybe. That's pretty close to the right answer, anyway. The dog and zombie move from 25E/25N to 45E/45N. Thus Fu doesn't need to wait. He shoots again. He needs a 19 to hit. #1 17 #2 5 #3 6 All misses. That's round 2. Now it's Jewbag's action in round 3. |

Fu will ready an action to shoot Jewbag should one of two conditions occur: Jewbag standing up, or Jewbag beginning to cast a spell.
As a free action on his turn, Fu shouts for Shaq to attack and rip the halfling into shreds. Now, here's my question - once Shaq move more than 5' away from Fu, he is no longer under the effects of Longstrider however, would Longstrider affect him for the duration of this round, since he starts with it affecting him? |
