Pregame
For the second match of Round 1, we have Roderick the Human Wizard versus Lerra Stillwater the Human Wilder.
The second of our psionic competitors, Lerra adds an interesting dimention to the match. As a Wilder, she can really push the limits of what can be done psionically, but at the possable cost of knocking herself out of a round's worth of action.
Indeed...in some ways, it's a study of opposites. Roderick is a very "traditional" caster. Not a specialist Conjurer, by the way...he's actually a genuine, generalist Wizard.
Really? Such flexability likely serves him on a day to day basis, but I'm not sure it'll serve him well at Conjurer's Chess.
Don't write him off just yet...I think he's got a trick or three up his sleeves.
The guests are seated, the challengers have taken their places on the summoning stands, and Wilfred Pennyweight is signalling that he's ready to get started. So let us begin!
