An interesting matchup here. Neither is a "traditional" conjurer. Lelki is one of three psionically talented individuals allowed to take part under the newly expanded rules for psionic participants, and watching how he does is going to be of great interest to all involved. Indeed it will...and Frozbar is another unusual entry. A divine spontanious caster who can still change his known list each day? So long as he packs enough Summons into that list, he should do just fine. Nature's Allies versus beings completely unnatural...animals against constructs. It will definately be interesting to see who gains the upper hand in this match. The guests are seated, the challengers have taken their places on the summoning stands, and Wilfred Pennyweight is signalling that he's ready to get started. So let us begin! Lelki has drawn red for this match, Frozbar will be in blue. Frozbar, please post your list of spells retrieved for today's match. Both summoners, please post your "prep" spell / power. You both have 24 hours to respond, at which time prep spells/powers will be resolved, initiative rolled, and the match will officially get underway.

Seeing he is on the first match he steps up the plate and declares for all the crowd: *Quote:* Greetings Sir Wilfred, Greetings to everyone, I'm Frozbar of the north and winter is at hand and with that he starts cast his prep spell. Prep spell: Speak with animals. Spell Retrived: 0th: Guidance, Naturewatch, Detect Magic. 1st: Speak with Animals, Magic Fang, Cure Light Wounds. 2nd: Summon Dire Hawk, Resist Energy. 3rd: Vigor Mass Lesser, Nature's Favor. 4th: Conjure Ice Beast IV.

The man was obviously still a mere human and unlikely to be a match for a perfected being such as himself. Really, such inferior beings should not be allowed to compete. As a way of compesating for their inferiority, the judges had even ruled that each competitor would get a "prep round." Having no need for such a useless thing. Lelki merely rolls his eyes and waits for the match to actually begin.

Lelki rolls a 6+?= for initiative, Frozbar rolls a 12+1=13. It is presumed (since Lelki is not yet reposted) that Lelki does not have a +7 or greater initiative bonus. Frozbar has the first action for round 1. The first round summoning die is: 1 Frozbar, you have 24 hours to post your first move.

"I heard of your kind, you call constructs to fight for you from some plane..... well I've got a few constructs for you, lets see what you can do versus my little constructs..." and with that Frozbar begins his casting. ooc: cast Conjure Ice Beast IV to conjure 4 wolves of the Nature's Ally I list and give them the cold aura ability, call them into squares: a3, a4, a5 and b4. edit: actually andorax, it's my mix up, I thought I'm on the other side.... anyway you are right I meant h4, h5, h6 and g5.

I presume that your intent is G5, H4, H5 and H6? Please edit to the contrary if I am reading you wrong. Frozbar begins casting Conjure Ice Beast IV. Typical of you humans, assuming that everyone does the same things as you. I do no such thing as call my constructs. I create them." "As for whether my constructs can deal with yours, they should be more than capable." Deciding to mock his opponent a little further, Lelki creates constructs that are exact miror images of his opponents creatures. [OOC: Spend 7PP to create 4 L1 astral constructs (A4, A5, A6, & B5). Craft (Sculpting) check (+16) to make them look exactly like the wolves that Fozbar is bringing in. All 4 have Resistance (Cold) 5, and Buff (+5 hp) as their special abilities.]

Frozbar, you do not recognize Lelki manifesting Astral Construct. 4 Ice Beast Wolves appear in H4, H5, H6 and G5. Frozbar suffers 9 points of damage from the Cold Auras of the Ice Beast Wolves. Guests seated behind Frozbar and to the right suffer 2 points of damage from the Cold Auras of the Ice Beast Wolves. "Frozbar, you're hurting my customers! You're disquali..." "Settle down, Wilfred...they're waving, saying they're all-right, so long as he moves them immediately." "Fine...but get 'em away from my customers, or you're so out of here!" After 1 round: Frozbar: 0 creatures Spells in Effect: Speak with Animals (rest of match) Liori: 0 creatures Powers in Effect: None Ooooooh. I just felt a sudden chill there. And not from the ice wolves, either. Frozbar may have more than he can handle in those ice beasts. If he straightens out his act, though, we're going to see a serious knock-down, drag-out bash going on. Constructs vs Constructs, with no mercy given or taken. I wonder if Frozbar will stick with the Ice Beasts, or if he'll be calling some Frostfell Nature's Allies next. I really hate to root for one competitor over another, but to be honest, I'd love to see Frozbar matched up against Ash or Jonathan...fire and ice is always a classic. Let it go. The match before us now still has plenty of promise, and I do like Lelki's style, at the very least. 1 - Ice Beast Wolf (Cold Aura). That is a bit cold even for my taste.... you wolves get away from me and start moving to your positions, i have friends to give you..." and with that Frozbar continues to order the wolves where to go while already conjuring his latest trick. ooc: creatures actions: 1A -> F6. 1B -> G3. 1C -> G4. 1D -> G7. Summon: cast Conjure Ice Beast IV for 2 Satyr's into squares H3 and H6, and give them the Ice Breath ability.

They are smaller, but otherwise near-perfect, imitations of the Ice Beast wolves. And here come the constructs. I sure hope Lelki can manage something a bit...bigger next time. Don't sell those little beasties short. I know full well that Astral Constructs can pack quite a punch, despite their modest size. Uh huh...sure...if you say so. I'm still thinking the big ones are gonna win. Summoning rounds aren't over, either. 1 - Ice Beast Wolf (Cold Aura). A: 31 hp, B: 31 hp, C: 31 hp, D: 31 hp 1 - "Small Wolf" Astral Construct I (Cold Resist, Buff). Move forward and spread out. I want to minimize the possibility of you being in overlapping cold auras from his arctic creatures. [OOC: Actions for Summoned creatures: 1A moves to B3. Ready action to attack any opposing creature that enters threat range. 1B moves to B4. Ready action to attack any opposing creature that enters threat range. 1C moves to B7. Ready action to attack any opposing creature that enters threat range. 1D moves to C5. Ready action to attack any opposing creature that enters threat range. Manifest Astral Construct to create 3 level 3 astral constructs in A2, B1, & B2 (9PP). Expend focus to avoid damage from Overchanneling. Construct abilities are Cold Resistance 5 and Trip. Craft (sculpting) check to make constructs appear as duplicates of Fozbar's satyrs. PP Remaining: 64]

Your summons to H3 and H6 violates this rule. They'll be summoned to H4/H5 to be in compliance. Frozbar, you do not recognize Lelki manifesting Astral Construct. 2 Ice Beast Satyrs appear in H4 and H5. Frozbar suffers 3 points of damage from the Cold Aura of the Ice Beast Wolf 1C. After 2 rounds: Frozbar: 4 creatures Spells in Effect: Speak with Animals (rest of match) Liori: 4 creatures Powers in Effect: None Looks like Frozbar has his cold creatures under control now. I'm glad they didn't just toss him out for misjudging his ranges. Well, people do have to assume some* risk when they come to a match with creatures of this sort. I don't see anyone leaving, either.* Fair enough. Wait...Satyrs? What's up with the whole Satyrs thing? They're supposed to be useful how? How about we just wait and see, ok?
