Just a note, Valarion recognized the spell cast...it was actually a Dispel Chaos.

Ah really?
I was under the impression that casting spells from items such as scrolls, wands, staves cannot be spellcrafted at all, since they do not have components. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Andorax: I am assuming the Gharrish took his stash with him, but you did not mention it so I figured I would ask if Khasar saw him retrieve it before the creature was banished.

Spellcraft can recognize a "magical effect in place"...in this case, the powerful aura of law surrounding someone with a Dispel Chaos cast upon them prior to discharging it.
He took the sack he had planned to with him, but that doesn't mean there might not be more that he's less concerned about in the rubble. |

Hey.
I know alot of people have other things on their plates right now (babies, new jobs, etc.), but I was wondering if there was some way we could step it up a bit. I'm referring to the pace of the adventure here. Maybe I'm a fool for not having another PbP to take up the slack when the main one slows, but I really do feel like we're crawling. I'd love to get back some of the intensity we had a while ago (before the death of Gron). I feel we can probably get back on track if we simply get Gron revived. Olivar has been out-of-the-action for almost a season now. I for one would really like to have his input again. Anyway, just a bit of a rant. I don't mean to make anyone ticked-off. I just look forward to this campaign picking up steam again and I wish it would happen soon. I guess I'm just impatient. Oh well. -ogwul |

Re: Update | ||

Hmm... correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't there another tunnel somewhere around here? I remember there was one that started in the room where Gron'rindul's head was, but we didn't go down it. Wasn't there something like that?
I'm down with Drizzle MoDizzle. |

I need to know Gron'rindul's intentions regarding a raising...you can either inform me publically, here, or you can email me privately if you'd prefer.

Re: Update | ||

Okay, IC, Gron'rindul would have liked to have fought more battles, but recognizes that he may have done all he can. He only hopes that the dwarves at the temple recognize the armor for what it is, and will give it to another who will take up the mantle of Protector and use it well. He of course misses his friends, but realizes these things also must pass.
OOC, a large amount of real time that has past, Gron is facing a level loss and missing out of a chapter and a half of XP. Also, as is the case with alot of RL, the time I used to devote to this PBP has been filled up with other things. I do not feel I would be able to put the same amount of effort into it if Gron were to be brought back. So, I guess what I am saying is, I'd rather Gron not be brought back. I also don't think I will be starting another character in his place. I hate to leave you guys short, but I'm sure that you can find another player right quick. I have enjoyed this campaign immensely, and will continue to read it when I get the opportunity. Thank you all for making this campaign as enjoyable as it has been. |

O_O Wow. Didn't see that one coming. I must say I am really sorry to see you go. I hope that if things come down you will think about rejoining (if it is a possibility at the time of course). Either that or Oqwul can talk you into staying. Khasar will miss having a stubborn dwarf to argue with.

Re: Update | ||

Aww.
Well, that's the way PBP is... sometimes you gain players, sometimes you lose players. I just want to say though, that Val will really miss Gron. Your character has been interesting and a mainstream power for pulling the quest together, and if Andorax permits, I will certainly await your return to the game once you have more time. Darken Light, is the lack of darkness. |

Re: Update | ||

Olivar, you will be sorely missed. I have greatly enjoyed your participation in the campaign to date.
Should you decide to return at a later time, you would be most welcome. As far as I am concerned, 4 players are enough to sustain the campaign, so I will not be recruiting for a 5th unless the group would prefer that I do so (in which case, I'm happy to do it). Preferences? "Whadda ya mean, Orcs get levels too?!?"

Wow. So, no more silly dwarf with a long name? Well, sorry to loose you. Hope all the other stuff works out and you can come back.
I'm fine with four people. Though I wouldn't not be fine with a fifth. I'm down with Drizzle MoDizzle. |

Re: Update | ||

I do not care one way or the other. 4 or 5 either is good for me. Although it would be nice to have someone else that could post on a more frequent basis. Things have been SLAMMED at work, but there is an end in sight. Hopefully things will slow down for Oqwul too and we can both start posting more often. That might take some of the burden off you also, Andorax.
