Um, I thought that Qayan's other axe was thrown at the illithid, which would mean it was about where Gron was standing. If I am mistaken, I suppose that's alright, but I didn't think that Gron could move that far.

And yes...Valarion was annoying enough to waste an action on you. Good call. What's more, if it had been Gron'rindul forced to make that save, even HE would have failed, so it was a particularly good move on your part (see, I roll badly for everyone equally...I don't play favorites). I think that's an error in the map. When Andorax cropped the image to focus in on Gron, he probably didn't bother to take out the other illithid image. But it was still there when he went back to the full room image.
Do I get a No-Prize?

Odd...the "broken" tentacle, now that you can get a good, close look at it, doesn't appear "broken" at all...it seems perfectly healthy and about the normal size you'd expect for an Illithid's tentacle.
It's the other three that are twice as long as they ought to be and tipped in hollow-pointed blades. And yes, all four (pointed and conventional) are stuck in you. "Whadda ya mean, Orcs get levels too?!?"

It's saltwater. Roughly room temperature. Something of a slimy feel/texture to it that's very disgusting. It's about 6' deep, and you're presently slumped over the edge of it, head and shoulders well out of it.

Try reading the IC, then ask that question again. Always wait for the IC post...the Combat only has the tactical information, not the associated plot elements.
